I was a little worried when I ordered this product b/c of some of the reviews. And when I got it the plastic protective coating seemed feeble. But I am so relieved I bought it! My cat gets mad every time I go on a trip (several times a year) and often takes her anxiety out on the duvet. This cover saved me having to replace the duvet several times over and I've only had it 6 months. We're talking a fair amount of noxious kitty pee. Plus the cover doesn't rustle like plastic sheeting (which is also abominably hot). The only caution is that you have to air dry the cover and it can take a while (even in Hawaii).

I purchased this waterproof Duvet cover because of my old dog starting leaking at night. She sleeps on our bed, she wet few time a week. Even amount of leaking is not much of liquid, but only first time she did it, liquid already went through to feather comforter. I had to wash again. This price dose not worth to pay, if you expectting for waterproof purpose. Instead, I purchased waterproof sheet with vinyle and lay top of my comforter. That help perfect!

this product is great. I wanted it as I have a sick Siamese cat who has a reflux problem. He vomits frequently usually on my bed. I have had to dispose of several inners. With the protector I am able to keep the inner clean and wash and reuse the cover.
